August 23rd General Meeting Hosts – Dick & Molly Hoffman

August 23rd – Saturday – The TCVCC August activity took us to the Growing Hope Farm in Palm City, an organization that helps low-income residents overcome hunger and hardship.  We toured the farm’s hydroponic greenhouses where lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, melons and more are grown, and also viewed their orchard with 70 fruit trees.  In addition, our tour also included their on-site packing house where harvested crops are cleaned, packed and stored.  The slideshow below contains over two dozen images from the our August activity.  The link below the slide show will take you to additional images.
